“Don’t Touch This Book” by Bill Cotter is the story of Larry, a little monster who doesn’t like to share his things. It’s up to you to show him how it’s done!

“Don’t Touch This Book” teaches us an important lesson about sharing. Larry doesn’t want to share his book with anyone. After telling us that no one is allowed to touch his book he relents and lets us touch it just once…then again…and again. Pretty soon we are all having fun along with Larry and his book.

The kids and I talked about sharing after reading this book. We talked about how it can be difficult to share our favourite things. We also talked about how much more fun we can have when we share with others. Just like Larry began to learn the sometimes sharing can be so much more fun than playing alone!
我和孩子们看完这本书后谈到了分享。我们讨论了分享我们最喜欢的东西有多难。我们还谈到了当我们和别人分享时，我们可以有更多的乐趣。就像拉里开始认识到有时候分享比一个人玩有趣多了！
This would be an excellent story to read to a group of children at the pre-school through Grade 1 level. I wouldn’t recommend reading this at bedtime as you will find your kids will be giggling and playing along. This is a fun interactive story to read with your children. It is intended for you child to touch the book and is better suited to a hard copy. The text is fun to read aloud, and young readers will be able to read along.
